About Fiona Twycross
I have been a Londonwide Assembly Member since 2012 and was re-elected in 2016. In my work, I have focussed on tackling food poverty and low pay, particularly in how it affects children in what remains one of the richest cities in the world.
I was appointed by Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London to be Chair of the London Fire & Emergency Planning Authority and have been a member of the Fire Authority since 2012. I am Deputy Leader and Whip for the City Hall Labour Group, Chair of the London Assembly’s Economy Committee and member of the Regeneration Committee and Education Panel.
Born in South London where I currently live, I have lived and worked in many parts of the UK and was a Senior Manager at the charity Diabetes UK prior to my election. I am a Trustee of the Encephalitis Society.
