About Fiona Twycross

MQ MarchI have been a Londonwide Assembly Member since 2012 and was re-elected in 2016. In my work on the London Assembly, I have focussed on tackling food poverty and tackling low pay.

I was appointed by Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London to be Chair of the London Fire & Emergency Planning Authority and have been a member of the Fire Authority since 2012. I am Deputy Leader and Whip for the City Hall Labour Group, Chair of the London Assembly’s Economy Committee and member of the Regeneration Committee and Education Panel.

Born in South London, I grew up in Oxford where I went to Cheney School. I have lived and worked in many parts of the UK and was a Senior Manager at the charity Diabetes UK prior to my election. I am a Trustee of the Encephalitis Society and of the Trust for London.
