About Fiona Twycross
I have been a Londonwide Assembly Member since 2012 and was re-elected in 2016. In my work, I have focussed on tackling food poverty and low pay, particularly in how it affects children in what remains one of the richest cities in the world.
The London Assembly exists to scrutinise the work of the Mayor and investigate issues of importance to Londoners.
I am leader of the Labour Group on the London Fire & Emergency Planning Authority, and have been asked by Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London, to be Chair of LFEPA (subject to a confirmation hearing). I am Deputy Leader and Whip for the City Hall Labour Group, Chair of the London Assembly’s Economy Committee and member of the Regeneration and Education Panel.
